The Starlight Mints

I feel like there has been a recent surge in popularity for this brand of eccentric, overindulged, circus-of-cacophony type of music. The only problem with Drowaton is that the carnival never gets quite as demented as Man Man or quite as interestingly off-beat as The M's. And when you're trying to pull off these types of psychotic freak-outs -- throwing everything in front of a mic but the kitchen sink -- it is especially important to possess an extra deft touch in knowing what to keep and what to throw away. Overall, the Mints do an admirable job here, but sometimes it really does sound like they have too many floating, aimless ideas swirling around in the same headspace for their own good.
